Businesses from all over the Telford region joined us for our final quarterly breakfast meeting of 2015 – and the event was bustling with interesting round-table discussions and presentations on exciting developments in the region.

Guest speaker was Gill Hamer from the Marches LEP who explained to delegates about the new Growth Hub that’s set to launch in the coming weeks – www.marchesgrowthhub.co.uk. She urged all the businesses in the room to make the most of the services and support available, and to come forward with any suggestions or requests for advice.

Also speaking at the meeting at Madeley Court Hotel was Steve Hill, from Telford and Wrekin Council, who detailed the facilities that will be open to businesses at the Growth Hub including new meetings space, live event streaming and hot desking opportunities.

During the breakfast event, new TBP Chair Jan Minihane presented a cheque to representatives from Telford and Wrekin Young Carers, our chosen charity for the current year. The donation of just over £2,800 was a combination of funds raised at our Telford’s Brainiest Business Quiz and the proceeds of the first ever Telford Young Professionals’ gala dinner and ball. Thank you everyone for being so generous!

Also on the agenda was an update from Neil Phillips from Telford Business Board, who shared feedback from the organisation on the ideas that TBP members had put forward at a previous event in order to help shape future business strategies.

After the presentations, members and guests took part in lively round-table discussions about the new Growth Hub and enjoyed networking with new colleagues to share possible partnership working ideas.
